Internship Opportunities

Girl Reports internships give high school, college, and graduate students real professional experience on an international team. Working alongside our staff in Tampa Bay and around the world, as well as our teachers and students in Nepal, interns take on meaningful projects in communications, curriculum design, and nonprofit operations while helping girls in Nepal build skills for their futures. Internships run each semester, are largely remote, and can often be completed for academic credit.

Open positions are posted on our social media. For general inquiries, email info@girlreports.org.

What You’ll Gain

Every internship is designed around the career readiness competencies of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), the framework universities and employers use to define what makes a graduate ready for the workforce. Here’s how you’ll build each one as a Girl Reports intern.

By the end of your internship, you’ll have concrete work to point to: published content, curriculum materials, research reports, or grant applications.

How it Works

Every intern follows a structured plan built around their own goals.

  1. Apply. Send a cover letter and resume to info@girlreports.org.

  2. Set your goals. Complete a reflection worksheet on your motivations, skills, and what you want to learn.

  3. Build your plan. Meet with your supervisor to agree on your purpose, goals, and weekly objectives for your first ten weeks.

  4. Do the work. Meet weekly with your supervisor and collaborate with our team through Microsoft Teams.

  5. Share your results. Publish, present, or deliver your final work to the organization and beyond.

  6. Reflect and recommend. Complete a departure survey to evaluate your experience and share your recommendations for improving the program.
