Community Partners
The Girl Reports curriculum is designed to be adaptable and scalable based on cultural and educational context, the needs of participants, and access to resources such as electricity and technology. Therefore, partnering and collaborating with host organizations and local schools that are embedded in the communities we serve, is critical.
Lumbini, Nepal
The Terai region of Nepal has some of the highest rates of child marriage, female illiteracy, and infant and mother mortality in the world. We believe education has the power to combat these issues and change the trajectory of girls’s lives. We partner with local organizations and schools to promote and support girls education and empower their communities. By writing, organizing, and publishing their own news magazine, our budding journalists learn important transferable skills and they learn to ask questions about their society and their rights. Our program gives them the opportunity to develop their ‘voice’ and share their perspectives with the world while gaining critical exposure to different perspectives and environments outside of their villages.

His clear communication and dedication to the school community create a culture of transparency and shared purpose. He also manages scholarships for many students, who are expected to uphold a standard of discipline, respect and good behavior.
